Oideachas chun Saoirse Gaelcholáiste Dáibhís (GCD) has been recently established at Davis College to meet the increasing demand from the local community for an all Irish post primary education. Academic excellence is the hallmark of Gaelcholáiste Dáibhís, students’ academic strengths and areas for improvement are identified at an early stage and focused teaching/learning strategies are implemented.

Gaelcholaiste Daibhis is an all-Irish, mixed, second level section. A high standard, multifaceted education is provided through the medium of Irish. The holistic development of every person is fostered in an inspiring, positive and Gaelic atmosphere. Gaelcholaiste Daibhis operates as a section within Davis College under the patronage of Cork Education and Training Board.

Gaelcholáiste Dáibhís has close links with Colaiste Naomh Éinne located on the Inis MorArainn and second years visit the school each year as part of an exchange programme. First years travel to Dingle every March and we have plans to create links with Colaiste Gobnathan in Ballyvourney. We are also active participants in the increasing number of ETB led all Irish events such as the inaugural camogie blitz for first years.
